1. Our oven doesn't work unless we turn on the timer.
2. I can drink a normal Spanish cup of water in two swallows.
3. You can only take out the trash between 8-11pm.
4. Melon [May-lawn], my new favorite fruit, is like a sweeter combo of a honeydew melon and a cantaloupe.
5. Afternoon starts around 3pm and ends around 8pm.
6. Smiling, nodding and fake laughing go a long way when you don't know the language. A guy talked to us for a solid 20 minutes with just a few of these.
